Leff Amsterdam

LEFF amsterdam was founded in 2011. After making their debut in the design industry by creating a series of iconic interior timepieces, their focus gradually shifted towards different product ranges. Working from their studio in the city center of Amsterdam, they now create unconventional watches and speakers by developing concepts in collaboration with renowned designers from around the world.

TIME
They started making timepieces in an era in which time is all around us, because they think clocks are simply amazing products. They believe clocks are the perfect example of functional beauty, as they’re technical instruments that have the potential to be art pieces at the same time. However, this wasn’t the only reason for them to start creating clocks and watches. Nobody really needs a clock – this challenges them even more to create something beautiful that everyone still wants to have.

They are not artists, but spend their lives in the pursuit of functional beauty.
In the tradition of dutch design, they believe concept is king.
